We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and installing piping systems in various construction settings. This role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints accurately. The Pipe Welder will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure that all piping installations meet industry standards and project specifications.
Duties
- Perform welding tasks using Stick welding and other techniques to join metal components.
- Must have 6G Stick weld certification.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, threading, and bending pipes.
- Build and install piping systems according to design plans, ensuring structural integrity.
- Rig materials and equipment as needed for various construction tasks.
- Conduct pipe threading operations to prepare pipes for installation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on the construction site.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely project completion.
- Help with other site duties besides welding.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Pipe Welder or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong skills in soldering, tube bending, and operating both hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with safety protocols on construction sites.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience reading blueprints is essential for this position.
